Sunshine Design
July 30, 2012 in Graphic Design, Illustrations
Tayet won the giveaway I recently did, and she asked me about making a custom greeting card. She wanted a cheerful sun and a special quote on the inside. I took the opportunity to print the card with a new printer that I think I want to work with. I started with watercolors on watercolor paper, and some sketches in my journal. I scanned these into my computer and used Photoshop and Illustrator to put the elements together in one design and finalize everything for the printer. I had them print it on pearl paper and it turned out shimmery and beautiful!
This is what I love about being a graphic designer. Taking a client’s idea and turning it into a beautiful reality.
Some people get confused by the term graphic design, and wonder what I do. Here is a brief list of my abilities.
- Websites and blogs using the WordPress format – Custom headers and buttons for do-it-yourself-ers
- Branding – Research, design and implementation of a common look and message to be printed or used on the web.
- Logo design for new businesses or re-design for seasoned ones
- Printed materials – business cards, fliers, advertisements, catalogs, etc.
- Cards- Greetings, invitations, announcements, holidays
- Ebook Design
- Custom illustrations and vectors
- Personal, business and product photography
I am currently seeking portfolio projects and I am willing to offer deep discounts for new projects. I would also be interested in exchanging services or products if you don’t have a lot of money to invest. Let’s discuss your project!

Beautiful! I totally want to do an ebook with you! The one we discussed.
