Joy and Shawn
June 4, 2012 in Photography
Last week, two new things happened to me. I had my first ever engagement session, and I shot that session with my bestie Elle! We are going to be taking the pictures for Joy and Shawn’s wedding day coming up soon, and we both wanted to get some practice in before the big day. Joy and Shawn were so easy to work with, and Elle and I learned a lot about how we work together and what things we should avoid. Below is a gallery containing pictures from both myself and Elle.
Thanks Joy and Shawn, and congratulations on your engagement!

You guys did an awesome job!!! I see a future in photography for both of you
The pictures are great.
Thank you for joining in Photo Feedback. I love the photos. I like the photo how it is a lot. Since the wood has such a neat and interesting texture to it, I would suggest maybe pulling back a little and putting the couple near the bottom right of the frame more. Then the rich texture behind them could fill the space and lead you more to them. Putting them together more on one side of the frame gives them the appearance of being closer and come across more of them together as a couple. They are not splitting the frame between them. Together they make up the subject area. Does that make sense?
yes, that totally makes sense! I wish I had thought of that. I will keep it in mind for next time
Thanks for the feedback.
